Dangerous goods come in all shapes and packages. Make sure you’re packing and shipping yours in accordance with the latest regulations.
Whether you’re a shipper, manufacturer, freight forwarder, cargo handler or airline, IATA’s Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) manual is your primary source of information for shipping dangerous goods by air. Recognized by the global airline industry, it serves to help you and your team avoid the risk of making mistakes, being fined or even causing incidents.
The air cargo supply chain has attained a high degree of safety in the transportation of dangerous goods by adhering to defined standards for classification, packaging, marking, labeling, documentation, handling and training. Following these standards not only advances safety, but facilitates fast and efficient transport of dangerous goods by air.
IATA develops and promotes the use of the IATA DGR in close collaboration with governments, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and our member airlines to ensure they are effective, efficient and globally aligned. The 59th edition of the IATA DGR incorporates all amendments made by the IATA Dangerous Goods Board and includes addenda issued by ICAO to the 2017–2018 edition of the Technical Instructions.
