Farrall’s Takes Silver FORS Accreditation
Farrall’s Transport, the Cheshire based logistics service provider, has stepped-up a gear by being awarded ‘Silver’ accreditation under the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS). Having achieved the ‘Bronze’ standard only a few months earlier, the logistics services company has successfully proved to the voluntary certification scheme that it complies with the FORS ‘Silver’ standards for lawfulness, safety, efficiency and environmental protection.
Under the scheme’s rigorous auditing process, Farrall’s Transport was assessed on its management processes and procedures relating to its: staff training – with an emphasis on work related road safety, performance measurement, use of close proximity safety equipment, championing the reduction of fuel emissions, investigating incidents and collisions, promoting of FORS standards, and investigating transport related fines and charges.
“Stepping-up from ‘Bronze’ to ‘Silver’ FORS accreditation demonstrates to our customers, our prospective customers and the wider logistics industry that we are serious about being at the forefront in adopting ‘Best Practice’ principles for our sector. We are delighted that Farrall’s has been awarded ‘Silver’ accreditation,” said Mike Farrall, Managing Director of Farrall’s Transport.
