Cenex – the UK’s first Centre of Excellence for low carbon technologies – has confirmed Keith Budden, Cenex’s Head of Business Development, will be speaking at this year’s Eco Technology Show, taking place on 25 – 26 June in Brighton. Throughout the two-day event, Cenex will be displaying information about their vehicle trial experience and infrastructure support included in their programme management offering; and its technical team will also be on hand to offer free, personalised and impartial advice as to whether EVs can be deployed within a company’s fleet operations.
As the premier event for sustainable energy, build, transport, technology and resource efficiency, The Eco Technology Show provides the perfect opportunity for the public sector, business owners, managers and trade to meet the experts and find the products & services they need to deliver genuine long term benefits to their business, city & community.
Keith Budden will be speaking in a Sustainable Transport session on Thursday 26th June from 1:30pm to 2:00pm. In his talk entitled ‘Visualising the way forward for Low Carbon Vehicles,’ Keith will be highlighting that low carbon alternatives are no longer a myth, but a reality. He will be presenting his top ten key points for the future of low carbon vehicles, discuss the economic and environmental benefits and share his vision of future transport.
“Events such as The Eco Technology Show demonstrate how important low carbon technologies have become across domestic, commercial and public sectors,” says Keith Budden, Head of Business Development at Cenex. “With an expected audience of over 5,000 people, I am delighted to be able to share my knowledge and provide an insight on the critical elements that will drive a successful transition to a Low Carbon Vehicle industry.”
At the event, Cenex will be exhibiting at stand A8 in the Transport Zone where they will be offering a free ‘EV Surgery’ to all interested companies. Attendees will be able to compare up to three vehicles within their personalised drive cycle using real world data and will receive a dashboard report of potential savings including CO2 reduction, running costs and tax savings. Their branded Smart Car will also be on display, as well as reports from their hugely successful Smart Moves trial.
“Many local authorities are keen to make business sense of how best LCVs and associated infrastructure can be deployed,” says Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex. “They are hungry for knowledge and the aim of our stand is to highlight the importance of de-risking implementation by using the support and advice available. We hope our ‘EV Surgery’ will help organisations to evaluate the viability of a range of LCV’s within their operations, allowing them to make environmentally and economically informed choices that can deliver genuine benefits to their business.”
As demand is expected to be high for consultancy appointments at the Electric Vehicle Surgery, attendees are encouraged to pre-book an appointment with the EV consultation team by calling 01509 635 750. Every appointment also comes with a free coffee.
