Brainbox Research Releases Conference Programme For Innovations In Road User Behaviour Change

Brainbox Research today released the provisional programme for Innovations in Road User Behaviour Change, the conference due to take place on 25-26 September 2014 in Wakefield.
The exciting line-up of speakers and workshops will include a keynote speech by Professor Wandi Bruine de Bruin from the University of Leeds, who will talk about behavioural decision making, and a presentation by Health Psychologist Anna Sallis from Public Health England, who will talk about large-scale interventions using ‘nudge’ techniques.

Other speakers include:

– Professor Brendan Gough discussing male road users and masculinities
– Dr Shaun Helman talking about novel lighting designs to increase motorcycle safety
– Dr Marc Fabri discussing a design thinking approach to behaviour change
– Liz Smallman outlining her experiences engaging children in long-term behavioural change interventions

Three workshops have been confirmed which will provide practical demonstrations and skills that delegates can apply in their workplace.
Dr Fiona Fylan from Brainbox Research said: “We have attracted an impressive range of speakers to bring a fresh perspective and the latest knowledge on changing road-user behaviour.”
