Brussels Airport names bmi regional the most punctual regional airline
bmi regional has been named the most punctual regional airline in 2012 at the sixth annual Brussels Airport Aviation Awards.
The event, which took place at Brussels Airport on Thursday 28th March, recognise and commend airlines and partners for outstanding performance in the fields of punctuality and efficiency, environment and safety, and network and route development.
The punctuality award is presented to the airline that has maintained the best on-time performance throughout the year, keeping arrivals and departures at Brussels Airport within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
In addition to this, bmi regional has successfully held the coveted title of the UK’s most punctual airline since 2005 and is now on course to retain it for a record eighth year, topping the table of 35 airlines serving the UK.
Cathal O’Connell chief executive of bmi regional, said: “To be recognised as the most punctual airline in Brussels is a real testament to our European operations. It is a great achievement for bmi regional and it’s a huge credit to the team. The airline went through a significant transition last year, so it is fantastic to know that our punctuality record was unaffected and we continued to offer our customers the professional service they can rely on.
“All our employees, both on the ground and in the air, do their utmost every day to ensure that every flight meet our customers’ expectations and offer them the most value for time and money.”
Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport said: “We have been honouring our most punctual airlines for six years in a row now. It is impressive that bmi regional, with such an extensive network to Brussels, has won this award in the regional airline category for three years now.”
bmi regional operates daily flights to Brussels from East Midlands, Edinburgh and Leeds Bradford.
